Here's the whole path from a new account to posts going up on their own.
1. Subscribe
Go to Billing and pick monthly or annual. The plan includes one channel, and you can add more channels there later. Free accounts can still convert single videos from the homepage, but can't connect a channel.
2. Add your channel
Go to Channels and either:
- click Connect YouTube channel and sign in with the Google account that owns the channel, or
- paste the channel's address (like
youtube.com/@yourchannel) and click Add.
We only read your uploads; nothing on YouTube changes. Your blog is created right away at yourchannel.videotoblog.com, and its name, description and links are filled in from your channel over the next couple of minutes. Your recent videos appear on Channels shortly after.
3. Write your first post
On Channels, press Generate on any video. The post takes a few minutes and goes live on your blog as soon as it's done, opening with the video. To start your back catalogue in one go, use Write posts, which writes up to 5 of your newest videos that don't have a post yet.
Each post uses one generation from your monthly allowance. Want to read each post before readers do? Tick Review new posts before they go live on your channel: posts wait as drafts, and Preview on your blog shows one exactly as readers will see it.
4. Turn on auto-generate
Switch on Auto-generate new uploads on your channel card. From then on, each new upload becomes a post by itself. Shorts and live streams are skipped unless you change that under New posts skip.
5. Check how posts sound
Go to Blog, then Settings, and read How your posts sound. These notes are drafted from your videos, and they're easy to get slightly wrong, like a name or your rating scale. Fix anything off and click Save. See How your posts are written.
Next steps
- Connect your own domain, like
blog.yourdomain.com. - Submit your blog to Google so it shows up in search sooner.
- Invite your team if someone else helps with your channel.
- Share your posts: a ready-made YouTube description, pinned comment and social posts for each one, and Discord or Slack announcements.
